FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We can make almost any group size work depending on the site. If you have the space and chairs, we have the drum!

Our preferred session time is around 45 minutes, but we are flexible with sites schedules. Sessions can be adjusted to 30min-1.5 hours per rotation.

We prefer to provide services for 2 to 3 groups when we visit sites to allow more students the opportunity to drum. Rotations can be back to back to maximize enrichment schedules.

We have three options that work great with after school programs:
Single session “Pop up drum day”
Mult-session programs where we return on your preferred dates building on rhythms, songs, and activities.
Full Program w/ Optional Showcase where we work with the same groups of students over a 8 day program and end with an optional showcase on day 9 for families.

After setting up, Shar and I will guide your students in learning rhythms, drum solos, singing, and dancing while encouraging creativity and improvisation.
Students also lead group based activities, fun rhythm games are played to keep learning fun, and we even teach about geography, music theory, and language found in drumming!

I provide all drums and equipment needed for the program. Each student gets a drum to use during the program. When schools that book multiple sessions, I even bring new instruments, momentos, and other fun props for activities.

1) Space for drumming.
2) Chair or seating for each student.
Shar and I unload all drums, set up the chairs in a circle, and even move around desk or tables. We also assist with putting the drumming space back to normal after the session when applicable.

For smaller groups of 10-20+, classrooms can be used. For groups 20 and above we recommend a space that can accommodate the number of kids if all seated in chairs such as: a band room, multi-purpose room, cafeteria, large classroom, or even outdoors weather permitting.

The earlier the better!
I reserve dates up to 1 years in advance and book on a first-come first-serve basis. I just mark the date as “pending” and reach out for processing quotes.

Absolutely! As a long time school vendor, I know scheduling is based on when POs are processed.
(1) After choosing some dates, I can send you an agreed upon quote outlining the intended service. You can forward the quote at a later date to your finance department and rest easy knowing the dates are being held for your students.
(2) I also follow up with you prior to the service date for final schedules and PO updates.
*Please note that although I can hold dates on my own calendar, I am not allowed to provide services until a PO is obtained for most school districts.

Yes, Shar and I do performances, family drum nights, and even provide booth based drumming where we set up canopies and have families stop by to jump in the beat.
