Choose from an audience focused performance to a HANDS-ON assembly where students get to play a real drum.
Each assembly can be delivered within 45 minutes or less, with around 15-minute transition between two or three assemblies.

Donté & Shar play live professional West African drum arrangements on stage. This high energy show engages students through singing, dancing, and clapping while they learn about African culture through music.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Performances - up to 600 students depending on space
Percussion Party & Drum Assembly - up to 350 students. Prefer two or three assemblies when possible.

It’s preferred to split assemblies with alike grade levels for the best engagement style.
Ex: TK-3rd then 4th-6th grade

We prefer to provide services for 2 to 3 groups when we visit sites to allow more students the opportunity to drum. Rotations can be back to back to maximize enrichment schedules.

1) Clear staging area. We bring a backdrop and our own sound system.
2) Clear seating area for students. It’s preferred that students sit on the floor during the assembly.
*Drum Jam Only - A chair must be provided for each student.

Performances - Shar and I set up everything on stage, cafeteria tables can be moved so that students can sit directly on the floor.
Percussion Party - Students will grab an instrument as they enter which may add 15-20 minutes.
Drum Jam - Students will need a chair, it is preferred that schools set up chairs for this presentation the day before or have 2 hours prior for all chairs to be put down.

Donté & Shar bring all staging, backdrops, and their own sound system. For interactive options, they bring all drums and instruments.

Performances- Do not include instruments.
Percussion Party - Kids use handheld instruments and it’s easy to set up
Drum Jam- Each student gets a drum to use and additional set up time is needed to set up chairs.

I reserve dates up to 1 years in advance and book on a first-come first-serve basis. I can even hold a date for your school and check back in when you are ready to submit an official PO.
